Mount Hood is a popular seedless triploid hop bred to resemble the true German Hallertauer. It has medium bitterness, mild flavour, good aroma, and is popular for Bavarian-style lagers. The cone structure is a fairly compact with a moderate content of yellow lupulin. Like Hallertauer the aroma is clean, with a mild spice and floral element and a woodsy pine tone. Introduced to the USA in 1989. Alpha acid 3-8%.
