A simple, low maintenance perennial with stems which produce delicate fern like foliage and clusters of small deep red fragrant flowers that bloom in early summer! Although it is not the most medicinally active variety, red yarrow is appreciated for its wound healing properties when used topically, inducing a sweat to resolve fevers, promoting circulation and improving digestion. Makes great cut flowers and will retain their colour when dried. Very hardy and easy to grow, as it does not require much maintenance and can grow almost anywhere. Thrives in full sun and well drained soil. Tolerant to drought and poor soils. Ht 20-30 inches.
