Juniper Ash

I have having a great deal of trouble locating anyone with knowledge about this ingredient in a recipe for Native bread. Juniper Ash is very rare and I would like to know if you have any information on this product or any idea where I might purchase some for cooking? I would appreciate any help at all.

I’m uncertain how to respond, as Juniper ash is not an Ash tree. Does this mean it is the ash (from burning) of Juniper? Juniper grows estensively in Oregon, but the Berry is not the one used to make Gin. That one is usually from the South (TN and KY). I guess I need more information.
