Looking for Buyer for Woodsgrown Ginseng

I’m looking for a buyer for 5 year old woods grown ginseng in Kentucky. I have around 50 to 70 pounds.

Ginseng is selling right now, from the 2006 harvests. 4-year old forest grown (COG) is getting only US$24.50, so inventories are strong. The market will probably reach US$26.00 by August.

If you would like me to consider representing your crop, I need a ½-lb sample, to make sure we are on the same page. I also need your COG papers, and some photos of the stand. This helps me sell to the upper-end buyers.

I now also require contracts to protect my purchasing position. The problem stems from no one respecting the importance of a good broker, especially newer buyers to this industry.

You would be most welcome to call me directly for more detailed. Most individual buyers that I represent prefer 200+ lb lots, and like to contract over a full year’s needs.
