| | | Need Practitioner to Continue Heartworm Treatments Answered by: Kerry Hackett Question from: Diana Davis Posted on: November 04, 2006
Please give me some places I can go to get some treatments for my dog. My daughter had been giving our family dog doses of wormwood tincture and black walnut oil. I have been taking care of our American eskimo (Prince) is four years old. He is in very good shape. He eats well and has a very good temperment. We were told that the treatment for the vet would cost from $400 to $1000. They did not give us any hope. My daughter moved away 2and a half years ago taking our dog with her. She recently moved to a house that did not approve of pets. We live in San Antonio, Texas and do not have access to the place our daughter took our dog to in Dallas. Would you give us a good health conscious vet or whole food store so we can continue Prince’s treatments.
Please go to the website of the Veterinary Botanical Medicine Association (www.vbma.org) and look for the heading entitled "Find a Practitioner". There you should be able to find a qualified practitioner who works with both animals and herbs.
