We just purchased a farm in Hood River 8 acres with 1.5 acres of Merlot. The rest of the land which was all grapes at one point is now pasture. We are interested expanding the farm to include growing some herbs for profit and read one of your Q and A’s about it. We are at about 1200 ft with full sun exposure. I am curious what markets are out there for our particular climate?

This year I plan fir boughs and cones from your poart of the world. Inf act, I will do more than 100 truckloads of various products from Bend. That means I am very familiar with your location.

I am going to recommend you consider we developing a farm plan for your needs.

If I build one for you, it will work.. Of course, there is enough information in my various books,to also secure your marketing plan.

Or, you might consider talking with me first. I’m most easily gotten in the early mornings, with my coffee and e-mail.
