I am 5 weeks along in my pregnancy and have taken 4 doses (1 day’s worth) of Black Cohosh and Dong Quai. Has this already injured my baby or do you think everything should be okay, since it was only one day’s worth of the herbs??

These herbs, taken only for one day, are very unlikely to have threatened your pregnancy. If you are concerned, you should consult your health care provider. These herbs are not recommended in pregnancy because they affect the hormonal balance, which generally should remain undisturbed in pregnancy. Used in the long term, there is a possibility that they may stimulate the uterus to cause abortion.
