I was checking into a herbal bust developer. It contains saw palmetto, fennel seed, don quai & black cohosh. Would these be harmful to take since they have to do with hormone/estrogen changes?

Yes, these herbs do have an estrogenic effect. In herbal medicine, we work to balance the body systems, to allow the body to optimize its healing functions, so the formula that you are considering would not likely be recommended for healing purposes. Depending on the individual woman’s hormonal balance, these herbs can help to balance an estrogen deficiency or provide an excess of estrogen. This combination would be contraindicated in estrogen excess conditions such as endometriosis, fibroids, cancer, cysts or if the woman is on pharmaceutical estrogens.
