Is there any bad side effects to taking golden seal and black cohosh together?

Black Cohosh is relaxing, anti-spasmodic, anti-inflammatory and a mild pain reliever.

Golden Seal is used to heal mucous membrane tissue that it comes in contact with. It has a drying effect, so should only be used when mucous membranes are inflamed or congested with excess mucous. Because Golden Seal is an endangered plant, it is important to ensure that your herb supplier provides only the organically grown herb, not wildcrafted. If unsure, Plantain (Plantago major or Plantago lanceolata) can be used as an alternate for healing mucous membranes. Goldenseal is often used treat systemic infections such as colds, influenza, and upper respiratory tract infections. There is also no evidence that the antibacterial activity of this plant is effective for tissue that it does not have direct contact with.

Black Cohosh and Goldenseal can be used together in a formula.
