I am now taking verapamil to control my blood pressure. I want to replace this with a herb, as I think the verapamil is sapping my energy. I would like to continue taking verapamil along with an herb, but I do not want a reaction between the verapamil and the herb. Can you suggest a herb the I can take to control my blood pressure and not have a reaction? Thanks.

There are many herbs that are helpful in controlling blood pressure. Each herb works differently and has a different effect. A trained herbalist will choose the herbs best suited to your individual needs and work with you on dietary and lifestyle factors that are important for maintaining healthy blood pressure. For your health safety and for the best therapeutic effect, I recommend that you visit a natural health care provider such as an experienced medical or clinical herbalist or a naturopath, who can do a complete health assessment and recommend the appropriate herbs for your individual condition.
