I’m nursing. Can you suggest any good herbs for increasing my milk supply? What do you know about Marshmallow (Althaea Officinalis) capsules?

We have answered questions about nursing previously. Please go to our web site at www.richters.com and select Q&A. Then enter "breast" for the search, and see answers to questions about breastfeeding and increasing breast milk.

Marshmallow (Althea officinalis) contains mucilage, so is used to soothe inflammations. It is helpful in inflammations of the intestines, stomach, urinary tract and bladder. Taken as a tea, syrup or tincture rather than in capsule form, it soothes dry coughs.
