I am a female aged 25 years, I am married and have a baby 20 months old. In the urine test by dipstick there found traces of blood, and then I had scanning of the urinary tract. There is no abnormality of the kidney, urethra, & bladder All are normal without any cyst/tumour. But still there are traces of blood. In the urine culture test there is no abnormality except "red blood corpuscles of more than 10 nos". But I feel no pain or any stress. I am quite normal. There was no menstrual period for me at the time of the test. What is the herbal remedy for my problem to stop the appearance of blood traces?

Blood in the urine is usually a result of injury to, or disease of, the kidneys, ureters, bladder or urethra. You must continue under the supervision of your medical doctor.

Herbs that are used to stop urinary bleeding include plantain (Plantago major or P. lanceolata) which is soothing, antibacterial and astringent, and shepherd’s purse (Capsella bursa-pastoris), which stops bleeding, is a urinary antiseptic, diuretic and astringent. Taken as a tea, the dose is one teaspoon of each in a cup of boiling water, covered and steeped for 15 minutes, three times daily. Taken as tinctures, the dose is one teaspoon of each in water, three times daily.
