I have two sons who are 10 and 8 who have an undiagnosed neuromuscular disorder which is thought to be from lesions found on the basal ganglia. The symptoms are hearing loss, clonus and dystonia (muscle spasms). The major problem is the muscles spasms or abnormal movements. These movements also cause spasticity. It also cause them to not be able to control their body to do things such as eat, talk, sit up, and walk. Are there any herbs that can help with the dystonia and heal the lesion in the brain(basal ganglia). By the way the only genetic findings is that they both have the same thing it is not found in my husband or my family.

I’m sorry, but I don’t know this condition, or what can help. I suggest that you investigate natural practitioners who have experience with this condition. For information on how to find a practitioner of natural medicine, please see our website www.richters.com. Choose "Q&A" from the main page, then enter "herbalist" for the search.
