Do you know of a herb that helps to get rid of uterine fibroids? Also, what is a natural treatment for strep throat?

Strep throat is caused by a streptococcus bacteria. Symptoms include an sudden, intensely sore throat, fever and headache. The diagnosis is made by laboratory test of a throat swab.

The problem with strep throat, and the reason that it is always treated medically with antibiotics, is that some streptococcal bacteria can cause rheumatic fever. Rheumatic fever can cause permanent heart damage. For this reason, I can’t recommend alternative treatment for strep throat.

You can, however, use herbs to prevent strep throat. Garlic is both antiviral and antibacterial. Taken when you feel run down, or have come into contact with someone with strep throat, garlic can help to keep the immune system healthy and kill the bacteria before it takes hold. You can chop a clove up into small pieces, and swallow the pieces like pills. This is best done at night (for several nights) to avoid garlic-smelling breath.
