What herbal supplements help to get rid of polycystic ovaries. I am 48 and still have a period but have painful cysts when I ovulate. I have been diagnosed with cysts on my ovaries, a growing fibroid in my uterus and inflammation in my thyroid.

I recommend that you work with an experienced natural health practitioner, such as a medical or clinical herbalist or a naturopath, who has had experience treating these particular health problems. The practitioner will perform a full health assessment to help determine the underlying causes, and advise you on diet, exercise and herbs to encourage your body to come back into balance.

Thyroid inflammation may take a long time to cure using natural methods. It is important to stay on any thyroid medication prescribed by your medical doctor while using natural methods recommended by a natural health practitioner.

Fibroids in the breast are also known as "fibrocystic breasts".
