I have been looking for any information that tells me about whether it is safe to be taking Essiac while taking Zocor.

Essiac is primarily a detoxifying and cleansing herb through the bowels and kidneys and is often used in conjunction with various cancer treatments. Zocor is a statin drug that is used to reduce cholesterol in the body by increasing the elimination of cholesterol faster through the bowels and by reducing its uptake in the bowels. I do not see any reason that they could not be taken together.

However, I have to say that in the case of cancers, statins remove all the good anti-inflammatory fats from the body as well as the perceived bad fats. As such with the increase of statin use, there is a direct increase in inflammatory cancers as a result. Therefore, if you are taking the Essiac as part of a cancer treatment protocol, I would be question the use of statins.
