Greek Thyme Answered by: Conrad Richter Question from Rosa Haritos
Do you sell ‘greek mountain’ thyme? This grows wild in mountains of Krete and other islands in the Dodekanis, Aegean Sea. You sell a fabulous mountain oregano close to what I use to get when I was in Greece -- and I thought perhaps you’d offer the greek thyme.
We wonder if you are referring to what we call ‘greek mountain tea’? This is a grey, woolly plant that is used for colds throughout Greece. The latin name is ‘Sideritis syriaca’. It is listed in our online catalogue under "G Herbs".
