We were wondering which of the following Datura varieties has the larger flower; D. inoxia or D. stramonium?

According to Hortus Third, Datura inoxia has flowers that are up to 20 centimeters (8 inches) long, while Datura stramonium has flowers that are 5 to 13 centimeters (2 to 5 inches) long. Therefore, your chances of getting a large flowered plant are better with Datura inoxia.
