What is the latin designation for Richters Lesbos basil? Is it a variety of O. basilicum or perhaps O. citriodorum? Is it appropriate to refer to it as Ocimum x citridorum ‘Lesbos’?

As far as we know, the plant is a species of O. basilicum. But the parentage could be more complicated which is why we don’t give a species name in our catalogue -- we give just the cultivar name ‘Lesbos’.
